day 1: Amsterdam - Singapore - Denpasar - Sanur

Finally, we were ready to leave the cold and rainy Netherlands for tropical Indonesia. The only thing that stood between us was a 16 hour long flight, how much fun was that going to be... However, the flights were okay (don't remember a lot of it, since I was sleeping most of the time) (or eating), and soon we arrived in Singapore and then in Denpasar, Bali. After some issues with the luggage (my moms and brother's suitcases were still in Singapore), we could finally lie down and enjoy this beautiful tropical island. And so we did: we had an amazing lunch, went to some little tokos downtown and enjoyed the sun. For dinner, we went to visit Sandi and his family and had again amazing Indonesian food. He and his family welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. It's amazing to see how people are willing to share everything they have, instead of keeping everything to themselves so they would be better off. However, I'd better go to sleep because the alarm will go off in less than 4.5 hours to catch our next flight, to Flores. Good night!
